So much has happened since my last post and there have been many times I have wanted to just log in and update this. Knowing that I can't recreate the thoughts of the past I will start with the thoughts of today.
This past week my oldest daughter graduated from high school. Amazing to think that life has gone by so fast! It was an amazing few days and as I took it all in I was once again reminded of the amazing young lady that she is and all that is ahead of her!
Her school, Upland Christian, does a Senior Dinner where students have the opportunity to stand and say a few words to teachers, parents and fellow students. I was blown away by her comments. She had really thought through what she wanted to say - actually typed out four pages of notes that she read from - and spoke from her heart. Sometimes I forget how deep her love goes and it was amazing to hear and see her express her heart that evening.
Another moment for me was watching her sing at graduation. There she was singing with her father conducting. It hit me - this was the last time she would be singing under her dad. Later Doug told me he couldn't look at her during the songs for the same reason.
She has had a great high school experience and has so much ahead of her! I can't wait to see what God has in store as she takes this next step to college.
Thank you Lord for who you are in my daughters life, for who you created her to be, and for all that you have planned for her life. We have been blessed!
