Forever Grateful!

Here I sit at my computer after what I would call a two week run with my dissertation.  I am at the stage where getting all you've learned onto paper is what stands between you and completion.  So close and still so far to go.  I will keep pushing forward...

I sit here tonight writing chapter five reminded of the wonderful gift I have been given and my inability at times to stop and enjoy it.  This is why I took a break to post a blog tonight - I need to stop and give praise to God for all I have been given.

You see I had the unbelievable privilege of interviewing the six current female presidents of the Christian Colleges and Universities.  I know - can you believe that!?!  Each allowed me to come to their campus and gave me two hours to interview them.  WOW! And those visits were life changing and life giving.

Many times over the past few months I have been amazed by the gift they gave me.  Not just for the research, but for the life lessons and insights they shared.  You see, as each woman shared their journey I saw the hand of God on their lives.  I heard their deep faith journey and was encouraged to go deeper in my own time with God.  Of course there were many other insights that were impacting, but their trust in God for their leadership and lives has stayed with me.

So as I write these last few chapters my deepest prayer is that I can tell the story - their story.  To tell it with integrity and excellence.  I was given a gift.  Not just of a doctoral program or eventually an EdD, but of six new relationships that have changed my life forever.

Forever grateful!
