What was accomplished this year?
In the Personal Arena:
- 37 books and assigned articles read
- 11 personal assessments and action plans
- 25 field work activities
- 17 written and submitted papers
- 6 books read
- 100+++ journals/articles/referenced works
- 4 stats modules completed
- 11 submitted reflection journals
- 6 written and submitted papers/reviews
Those are the statistics of the year. But there is so much more that is beyond those numbers. I have learned more about myself than I thought possible. My journey began knowing I was suppose to be in the program for a greater purpose, and though I didn't know it was going to dig deep into my soul the way it has, I stand in awe of all that I have learned. The picture above represents my first year. I went out looking for a symbol and found this beautiful girl. The words on her dress represent my first year journey....
Believe!
Time, devotion, sorrow, hope,
lost opportunities and silver lining mistakes.
When we finally begin,
when we let go.
When we leap fearlessly,
everything shapes us.
These few words reflect my learning and journey. She now sits in my office where I can see her, representing this incredible journey I am on. God is clearly shaping me - pulling and pushing - reminding me where my strength comes from, and calling me to trust fully. For all of this, I am thankful.
I am extremely thankful for those who have walked the first year journey with me. Each person played a critical role in my journey. My family, my board of directors, and my friends all encouraged me along the way.
I am grateful for my learning group and fellow students who are an inspiration as they juggle life, family, and work. This picture was taken at the end of our first year. We did it and are moving forward into year two!
