Family, work, school, life...making sure I keep it all in check with my priorities right. This week the daily devotional blog I follow by Ann Voscamp called the Holy Experience reminded and challenged me that "when all is pressing in, to remember the fluid principle."
What is the fluid principle? It is remembering to breathe, recognizing that it is about fear, learning to "flow with it", to lean into what is happening. It is remembering to have faith and that faith is fluidity. Leaning into faith, abandoning all worries to Christ, handing over all the details that overwhelm me - to "abandon and abide" in Him.
Sounds so easy, yet somehow God knew I needed this message all week - even today as I sit to complete homework due in just a few weeks. Staying "fluid" means leaning into Him.
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God...to become conformed to the image of His son." -Romans 8:28-29 NASB
So today I work to stay fluid - leaning into Him who works all things together for good.
The picture below was taken this summer in the mountains of Colorado on our way home. Pure beauty - pure fluidity!

I love reading your blogs. I feel peaceful afterwards- like our challenges, all our challenges, are as they are designed to be. You reminded me of this today, and to trust and let the river flow- over whatever bumps and rocks and changes in path.
