These past few weeks have been full of reading and papers, as I work to complete the first semester of my doctoral program! I have refrained from posting since I had not felt that I had "crossed over" the hump of assignments and work. However, over the past two days I have completed all but one paper, and have only a webinar, meeting with my learning group leader, and research journal left. I have officially "crossed over" in my mind :) Insert BIG SMILE here!!!!
This half of the semester has continued to challenge my thinking, reflecting on areas of my leadership and life that need revisiting. I continue to be thankful for this program and the way God is speaking to me through those around me, in the program, at work, and in my personal life.
It has not been without stress however and I continue to work on how to manage my own expectations daily. Even as I write this I have the sense there is so much to do, even though I am near the end and ahead of the deadlines by over a week. This journey is one that I think will continue throughout the spring semester, challenging me to look deep into who I am and rely heavily on my faith.
Tonight's photo is from yesterday at Starbuck's where I spent six hours completing my Theory of Inquiry paper. The picture is reflective of the fifteen plus hours spent on that paper!

It's nice turning a corner and seeing things that make you smile... and looking deeply, knowing that God is already at work there
